The summer residence of the Austrian emperor

Ploskovice Chateau was built between 1720 and 1725 as a summer residence by Anna Maria Francesca of Tuscany. She decided to build a chateau which would be a match for the current buildings of the foreign nobility. In the mid-19th century, the chateau became the summer residence of Emperor Ferdinand V of Austria.
