The summer residence of the Austrian emperor Ferdinand V.
Ploskovice Chateau was founded by Ann Mary Francis Tuscan in years 1720–1725 like a summer residence. She decided to build a chateau which would be a match for the current buildings of the foreign nobility. In the half of the 19th century Ploskovice Chateau became summer residence of the retired Austrian emperor and the last crowned Bohemian King, Ferdinand V.
